Thank you for your correspondence during this time of isolation. We continue to be available to all of you, our valued clients, colleagues, friends and families during the “lockdown” period to contain the spread of the coronavirus. We hope and pray that you and your families remain safe during this difficult time.
While official lockdown in Spain continues in Spain until at least 26th April, the good news is that the stringent measures introduced by the government urging all citizens with the exception of essential workers to #stayathome are working and the country is now seeing a reduction in both new infections and fatalities.
The good news today, is thanks to the effectiveness of the measures in place, the government is allowing certain sectors back to work, while respecting social distancing rules. In a bid to keep the economy ticking over, among those workers allowed to resume activity today are those employed in industry and construction sites. This is good news for the Málaga and Costa del Sol real estate sector where new build properties are still in high demand.
Lockdown Measures Still in Place
Among the other establishments permitted to open are opticians, vets, telephone, banking and internet businesses, newsagents, media outlets, mobile hairdressers and dry cleaners.
While many more people will be returning to the workplace, the lockdown restrictions still apply, and we are still being urged by the government to stay at home, work from home if possible, and only leave the house for essential reasons such as buying food and medicines, or caring for dependents. Sanctions and fines still apply if these measures are not adhered to, and while we are all longing for the restrictions to be lifted, it is important to remember that staying at home is helping to save lives.
At NCH Dallimore Marbella we are continuing to respect the lockdown, and working from our home offices.
